Beating the heat outdoors with an off-cycle grow

I wont get into politics here with global warming & all…just my 2 cents as an AZ resident with a green thumb. The summers seem to be getting hotter. The last 2 “normal” spring to fall seasons were not good. It got hot too early, stayed hot and along with that came budworms and other plagues. My indoor grow saved me for bulk weed to sit on & consume leisurely.

I actually had very good yields with my outdoor grow last year planting in August and harvesting in January/February. Nothing burnt to a crisp, the bugs were gone. It worked for the tomatoes too. Fruit wouldn’t set in 110F weather.

You may be fighting frosts –a frost blanket or polyethylene tarping over the greenhouse is your friend as well as small tealight candles for impromptu heaters

8 hour tealights from amazon are not expensive and 1-2 of them under the tarping keeps the air above freezing.
